Michelangelo was an Italian sculptor, painter, architect, poet and
engineer who was known for his noteworthy contributions in the field of art. One of
the best known works of Michelangelo is his David, the eighteen-foot-tall statue
sculpted in marble. When he began to work on it, he spent a lot of time trying to
bring beauty and perfection for his masterpiece. He went on working tirelessly
chiselling and hitting it very hard. And while he was working on it, a little boy
went up to him and asked why he was hammering and banging it so hard. Michelangelo
replied with a smile, "Young man, there is an angel inside this rock and I am
                                     letting him free."
